CC Apex ESD casters are electrostatic dissipative casters constructed from our signature high-quality polyurethane formula, which offers superior ergonomic performance and many other capabilities, but with the added benefit of electrostatic dissipation. CC Apex ESD casters are available in our signature blue color.
One of our most versatile caster, CC Apex ESD has a donut wheel tread and is well suited for a wide variety of applications and industries where static discharge is present. CC Apex ESD casters are also low maintenance, which means that they do not need to be tightened or greased as frequently as commodity casters. Other features that CC Apex ESD casters offer are low debris retention, noise reduction, and floor protection.
Electrostatic dissipative casters are casters and wheels made from materials that prevent the buildup of static electricity and safely discharge any accumulated static. Static-dissipative material conducts electricity with a surface resistivity of equal to or greater than 1 x 10E5 Ω/square but less than 1 x 10E12 Ω/square.
Static-dissipative material is not anti-static, nor is it conductive. Instead, it provides a controlled pathway for static electricity to dissipate and prevents the buildup of static electricity. Electrostatic dissipative casters help prevent sensitive equipment and components from damage caused by electrostatic discharge.
