CC APEX WHEELS ADAPT TO THE HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT

The maintenance department of a local hospital used carts that had to be moved over varying types of flooring, and sometimes different heights. The polyurethane on iron wheels the hospital used were marking the floors, difficult to push, and made noise loud enough to be heard by patients.

A Caster Connection Regional Sales Manager (RSM) worked with the hospital to find wheels that could maneuver over different floor types, while also reducing push/pull force and decibel levels. Knowing that the wheel had solved similar problems in several other industries, the RSM recommended the 8" CC Apex for a trial run.

The introductory phase involved replacing all of the wheels on one cart with the CC Apex. Several different employees used the cart, and they began choosing this cart over the others.
