Caster Connection Reduces Push/Pull for GM Plant’s Engine Side
Before working with Caster Connection, a Michigan General Motors Plant’s Engine Side was experiencing ergonomic issues with another caster company’s urethane on aluminum wheel.
An employee Engine Side at this GM plant contacted Caster Connection for a solution. A Caster Connection Caster Expert suggested that GM conduct ergonomic testing with Caster Connection’s CC Apex casters. The test resulted in a push/pull reduction of 25-30% of the casters that the Engine Side had previously been using.
By giving Caster Connection an opportunity to quote on this project, GM saw success in this application. Over time, GM has increased the weight of their carts, and Caster Connection has adapted by recommending other solutions from their vast catalog to meet these changing needs.
