This caster featuring a 50 mm x 19 mm conductive wheel prevents electrostatic discharge by conducting the static electricity out of the cart, through the wheels and into the conductive floor. These casters are a solution for moving goods and equipment that requires protection from electrostatic discharge, such as electronic equipment, clean rooms, medical environments, manufacturing, data centers and server racks.
Conductive material has a surface resistivity of equal to or greater than 10^3 ohms, but less than 10^5 ohms. Another solution for protection against electrostatic discharge, electrostatic dissipative casters have a surface resistivity of equal to or greater than 10^5 ohms, but less than 10^12 ohms.
