HOW THE CC STARK IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER CASTERS

POLYURETHANE (DUROMETER)

Durometer is simply how hard a substance is. Hardness is important since, all things being equal, the harder the wheel, the easier it rolls and the more weight it can carry. The CC Stark polyurethane has a harder durometer at 92 Shore A (+/- 5).

A higher durometer, in part, is what allows the CC Stark to handle higher weight loads at high speeds.
The polyurethane is not too hard and can take advantage of its rebound resilience.
A polyurethane with a higher durometer and high rebound resilience, like the CC Stark’s, is very difficult to achieve.

POLYURETHANE (RESILIENCE)

Rebound resilience is essentially the elasticity of your polyurethane and does not necessarily rely on your durometer. A polyurethane blend with high rebound resilience, such as the CC Stark’s blend, gives you all sorts of advantages.

Allows your casters to spring off of the floor with ease
They Grip and preserve the floor better.
They Dampen sound.
They Resist and repel debris (think a trampoline).
This keeps your wheels clean (debris bounces off of the wheel) and allows you to navigate over debris and other impediments.

RIG & DESIGN (PERFORMANCE)

The CC Stark uses a strategically designed slightly crowned tread and a waffle core to complement the polyurethane perfectly. The standard CC Stark rig itself has been designed from top to bottom with towlines and heavy weights in mind.

The wheel design handles higher weights and dissipates heat.
The rig is maintenance free.
The rig has the highest durability with reinforced forks and a monstrous kingpin.
A solidified raceway, thrust bearing, and tapered roller bearing evenly disperse weight and protect against side forces when tugging (it is smooth and therefore extremely durable).
